A worksite was closed at this morning approximately 9.30am after a worker collapsed while working in a cherry picker.
The project manager at the shopping centre construction site said that he heard a bang and recognised that it came from the cherry picker that was descending metres away from him with the worker slumped at the controls.
The project manager the carried out chest compressions on the worker for 17 minutes till the Ambulance service arrived at the site and revived the man.
He was transported to the Murray Bridge Hospital initially and then to the Adelaide Hospital with a alleged heart attack.
