Worker Dies After 14 Metre Fall From Tree

A 27-year-old worker died when he fell from a tree at Kureelpa, which is on the Sunshine Coast.

The man was using a chainsaw to when he fell 14 metres at about 10.30am this morning; he was cutting a branch from the top of the tree he fell from.

His colleagues attempted to assist him but he was declared dead at the scene.

The police are assisting Workplace Health and Safety officers to investigate the incident.
