Safety network meetings for the transport industry

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland will facilitate safety network meetings intended for the transport industry.

Transport safety networks were formed throughout Queensland to help employers work together in improving health and safety in the transport industry. These networks allow transport employers to stay up to date about health and safety issues which may impact their industry. These issues include:

  • Falls
  •  safety while loading, unloading and securing loads
  • Safety at customer sites
  • Hazardous manual  tasks
  • Forklifts and other mobile plant (traffic management)
  • Healthy workers
  • Psychosocial issues
